I just came across this post via facebook and thought I would share. I don't hear these things often from my loved ones but I suspect other MSers do. No bueno. When someone close to you says these kinds of things, it can hurt.

i have heard some of these things... and you're right, it does hurt. i think the thing that bothers me the most is when i hear it could be worse (yes, i know that) and be positive (yeah right), or when someone asks about how i'm feeling and then take my symptoms and make them their own... or compare them to their own... no comparison .... i don't discount anyone else not feeling well and they deserve the empathy when they are tired or have a headache or what have you... but don't compare...
